Firearm Basics Workshop

 
This workshop is intended to provide performers with a basic understanding of what blank firing, rubber and replica weapons are and how they differ from actual firearms. These explanations of how firearms are used in Film & TV as opposed to the outside world is important because safe handling techniques are paramount, both to those carrying them and other performers.

When portraying a character who carries a firearm, such as a police officer or soldier, it is important to know how to carry and handle a firearm in a manner that is consistent with real world standards of safety and with technical proficiency.

All workshops are at BCIT Burnaby Campus, 3700 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 3H2   in Bldg SE42, Classroom 260
